Safety in Mind

These are the steps that I will be taking to keep us all safe and comfortable in light of the coronavirus, aka Covid-19. Updated November 6, 2022.

Please know that my family and I have been staying informed about Covid and following safety precautions advised by the CDC (e.g. physical distancing, wearing masks, sanitizing, washings hands frequently, forgoing dining in in busy restaurants). We are also doing our best to avoid crowds. Additionally, my husband and I are fully vaccinated - I received my second dose of the Covid vaccine in March 2021 and my second booster shot in October 2022.

Steps that I will be taking to keep you and your loved ones happy and healthy:

  • I will be disinfecting my phone before every shoot.

  • Before I leave home, I will wash my hands carefully with soap for at least 20 seconds and dry with a paper towel.

  • In accordance with updated guidelines from the CDC for vaccinated individuals (May 2021), I will not be wearing a mask during outdoor sessions, unless requested in the pre-session Client Questionnaire. This will allow me to better engage with your family and children, and elicit genuine smiles.

  • I will greet you with my words and a wave, instead of handshakes, high fives, fist bumps, elbow bumps or hugs.

  • For in home sessions, before I leave my car, I will put on my mask and sanitize my hands. As soon as I enter your home, I will take off my shoes, put on clean socks and ask where I can wash my hands.

  • For in home sessions, we will try to open windows or doors, as is reasonable, to ensure ventilation. We can also try to do a good portion of the shoot outside, if you would prefer (in front of the home, in the backyard, etc.).

  • For all shoots, I will be social distancing by keeping at least a 3 foot distance and therefore be providing guidance with my words. The lenses that I use will allow this distance and yet still capture pictures as if I'm closer.

  • If I feel that my own health or that of my family’s is at all questionable, I will reschedule the shoot for your safety. I also ask that you do the same if anyone in your household has a fever, respiratory symptoms, Covid symptoms or is otherwise feeling unwell. I will be extremely understanding, as safety and health is top of mind. Any rescheduling will be done at zero cost.

  • If there are further precautions that you would like me to take, please just let me know beforehand and I will do my very best to accommodate them.

I can't wait to see you, and I can't wait to document some happy memories of you and your favorite people!!
